How laser hair removal works
The primary principle behind laser hair removal is selective photothermolysis. Lasers can cause localized damage by selectively heating melanin in the area that causes hair growth. In the past such method was used to treat freckles, and was discovered to be effective for hair removal.
Benefits of laser hair removal
- Hair removal is precise and permanent.
- No or almost no pain during procedure.
- Works on all body parts.
- Permanently removes the hair on forehead, armpit, the bikini line, thighs, and calves for women; the beard, chest,
and stomach hair for men.
- The procedure takes much shorter time compared to the electrolysis method.
You can take a shower the same day you have received the treatment, but avoid taking long bath until the redness disappears, and no excessive sun bathing for about week.
