What is Urology?

 

Urology is the branch of medical science that deals with the surgical and medical treatment of urinary tract of both males and females, and the male reproductive system. This study and practice has become a cutting edge procedure in medical science due to the extremely knowledgeable and expert doctors. The procedure applied in case of disorders and diseases in urinary tracts is minimally invasive, thus making it a lot easier for the doctors as well as the patients.

 

The urinary tracts and the reproductive system are very closely linked, and thus intensive care techniques are to be used while performing any medical procedure on either one of them. The sub specialties after the post graduation degree of urologic surgery include; urologic oncology, endourology, laparoscopy, neurourology, pediatric urology, andrology, reconstructive urology, and urogynecology.
