Brain Tumor Center

The Brain Tumor Cancer Center offers the efficient examination and treatment of nervous system tumors by strengthening its system of one-stop multidisciplinary management with related departments such as the Department of Neurosurgery, Division of Hematology/Medical Oncology, Department of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, and Department of Pathology. The Center provides the best treatment to not only patients with primary nervous system tumors but also to those with metastatic nervous system tumors at the optimal time through a stage of fast and accurate decision-making regarding surgery, radiation surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

It has accumulated sufficient clinical experience through 10,000 brain tumor surgeries and 5,000 gamma knife radiosurgeries and, through over 500 academic papers published based on its experience with examination and treatment, is leading the development of the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors.

At this moment, the center annually performs over 700 brain tumor surgeries and over 600 gamma knife radiosurgeries, thus boasting unparalleled records in the treatment of brain tumors.

In particular, it boasts a wealth of experience with highly difficult brain tumor surgeries and provides the best treatment by using fluorescence-guided resection of malignant gliomas and endoscopic skull base surgeries

In addition, the center has established multidisciplinary consultation for outpatients, where medical personnel from diverse departments gather and see patients together, hold discussions, and determine the plan for treatment, thus not only implementing fast and accurate examination and treatment but also reducing patients’ temporal and economic burden.
