Dentistry

The AMC Department of Dentistry provides treatments in five specialties
Orthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Conservative dentistry, Prosthodontics and Periodontics. With 15 full-time faculties dedicated to patient care and research in dentistry, the department provides a systematic approach to accurate diagnosis and optimum treatment for each patient.

Cutting-Edge Digital Equipments for Faster and Effective Treatment
To provide prompt and accurate diagnosis and treatment, the AMC Department of Dentistry uses various equipments and an electronic medical record system. In particular, we use the Galileos digital imaging units created by the Sirona Company for CT and Panorama Images. From these images, we can diagnose more accurately and perform more effective treatment of diseases in the head and neck area. We also use the images for dental implant treatment.

 Dental Implant Center
Implant Center
Dental implant is an excellent restorative method for treatment of edentulous regions. The AMC Department of Dentistry operates independent Dental Implant Clinic to provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and post-procedural care. Dental implant surgery is performed by surgeons (Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons or Periodontists) and following prosthetic procedures are performed by prosthodontists. This enables specialized and custom-tailored treatment for each patient.

Orthognathic Surgery Clinic, TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Clinic, Tooth Bleaching Clinic
The AMC Department of Dentistry also operates special clinics to provide comprehensive patient care in areas where a multi-disciplinary approach is required. Each special clinic offers optimum treatment for each symptom, based on effective consultation and co-treatment between specialists of the AMC Department of Dentistry.

Cell-type Treatment Room for Patient Privacy
The AMC Department of Dentistry now has a new, expanded extension built in May 2008. The state-of-the-art facility has private rooms where patients can receive treatment more comfortably.
