Seoul National University Bundang Hospital was opened in 2003 was a mile stone in the history of Korean medical care and medical education. It was the first hospital to fully digitalize, and adapt to a CPOE (computerized physician order entry) system.
Awards and Achievements: SNUBH has been consistently ranked first in the category of quality measurements of general hospitals for thirteen consecutive years and Korea Brand Power Index. In 2012, SNUBH was given the title of “1st Class in all categories” of quality measurements based on outcomes, patient safety, and customer satisfaction, the recognition from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, which is a subsidiary of the National Insurance Company of Korea.
Medical Staffs: SNUBH employs approximately 800 physicians and 1830 nurses, and is one of the three main teaching hospitals of Seoul National University, College of Medicine, where nearly all of the staff physicians serve on the teaching faculty. Since the hospital’s founding, SNUBH has been committed to training and mentoring the next generation of national and international leaders in medicine and science, and providing invaluable resources to the staffs of all major teaching hospitals in the country.
Infrastructure: The hospital has a gross floor area of 120,660 m2, with 1360 inpatient beds, located at the Southern suburb of Seoul, it offers sophisticated cutting edge diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery.
