Inje University Busan Paik Hospital was founded in Seoul by Dr. Paik In-je, a patriot and a pioneer in the medical profession of Korea. The Hospital first opened in 1979 and has since grown very steadily to become The Central Hospital among the 5 University Hospitals under the Auspices of the Inje Educational Foundation.
Awards and Contributions: In 2005 Inje University Hospital was appointed as a hospital for APEC. It was awarded medical institution authentication certificate from the Ministry of Health & Welfare in 2011 and in the same year the hospital performed a pro bono Heart surgery on 12 Vietnamese children. In 2013 it was designated as Global-Leading Center of Clinical Trials (Ministry of Health & Welfare).

Services: It has been promoting public health through various medical developments using advanced medical facilities and in addition, the Paik Hospitals participate in both domestic and international scientific research, study and training as well as sharing and acquiring medical technology. Busan Paik Hospital, together in cooperation with Busan City, which aims to become a Medical Service Hub City of Northeast Asia, is actively coping with the era of globalization and industrialization of medical services.
Infrastructure: The hospital has a capacity of over 1000 beds and operates in about 31 clinical department and more than 30 specialized centers & special clinics.
